Set against the backdrop of Kerala’s lush landscapes, this trip invites students to slow down and immerse themselves in the wild. Days are spent watching birds in their natural habitat, paddling through quiet backwaters, and exploring the rich ecosystems that make Thattekad so unique. With Camp Hornbill as their base, students find both adventure and reflection in equal measure, returning with sharper observation, deeper curiosity, and a lasting connection to nature.
Accomodation
Hornbill Camp, Thattekad is situated in dense rainforest by the Periyar River, an hour’s drive from Kochi Airport. Accommodation is simple, comfortable, and well-suited for student groups, with tents and cottages nestled deep in the woods. The camp offers a close-to-nature experience with activities like cycling through the bird sanctuary, canoeing on the river, and exploring the forests, making it an ideal base for learning and adventure in the outdoors.

Pricing, Considerations & Inclusions
- Pricing is indicative, final price depends on number of students and time of travel
- For every 10 students, the cost of maintaining one teacher will be built in.
- Price includes all accommodation on full board, travel, activities and GST.
- Travel & accident insurance is included.
- There will be two lead instructors from Peregrin on every program in a ratio of 1:25.
- Additionally we will liaise with on field staff and instructors too.
- Our team is First-aid trained and will carry a first-aid kit. Additionally, we may require supplements from school.
- Registration process will require contact info, ID’s, liability release, declaration and payment.
